Prohibited use
- Illegal content or activities: anything unlawful under German or EU law.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM): zero tolerance. Such content is removed immediately and reported to the competent authorities.
- Violence and threats: planning, carrying out or threatening acts of violence, and the glorification of terror.
- Hate speech, harassment and doxing: content that demeans, intimidates or targets people or groups, or shares their private data without consent.
- Intellectual-property infringement: uploading, sharing or streaming material you don't hold the necessary rights to.
- Malware and fraud: distributing malware or spyware, phishing, impersonation or other fraudulent activity.
- Spam: unsolicited bulk messages or emails.
- Infrastructure abuse: crypto mining, DDoS, circumventing plan limits, reselling capacity, or load that degrades the service for others.
- Defeating security: reverse engineering or bypassing access, license or security controls.
The spirit of these rules
This list is comprehensive but can never be exhaustive. What matters is the principle: dfine.io must not be used to cause harm: personal, technical or civic. Different points of view are welcome; ideologies aimed at the oppression, violence against, or exclusion of groups are not.
Consequences of violations
Depending on severity, our measures range from a warning to removing content, temporary suspension, and immediate termination of the account including deletion of data. For illegal content or activity we notify the competent authorities and reserve the right to take legal action. Termination for a violation does not entitle you to a refund.

Suspect a violation? Email us at admin@dfine.io. Describe what's going on as precisely as you can. Links or screenshots help a lot. We do not disclose the reporter's identity to the reported party. We usually respond within one business day.
